The Confucius Institute at Moi University Successfully Completed the Promotion of the Chinese Course in the New Semester

At the beginning of the new semester, the Confucius Institute started to promote Chinese courses and enroll new students at Moi University.
On September 4th, the promotion was done at the School of Arts and Social Sciences. The Department of Linguistics and the Department of Swahili take Chinese as a credit course.

On September 5th, the Deans Conference of the Chinese Courses was successfully held. Deans of Schools of Arts Tourism, Business, Education, Engineering, Information Science, Biological Sciences, Aerospace, Public Health and Confucius Institute teachers gathered to listen to the report about the last semester’s Chinese teaching and discussed about the promotion of the course and made plans for the new semester.

On September 6th, the promotion was done both at the School of Biological Sciences and the School of Engineering. The new students were very enthusiastic and we think they made rational choices.

The promotion for the School of Information Science was on September 7th. It was completed successfully and questions raised were answered accordingly.

On September 10th, the promotion was done at the School of Agriculture.

The two-week Promotion of Chinese courses ended in perfection. From the nine schools namely; Tourism, Arts, Engineering, Information Science, Biological Sciences, Education, Public Health, Agriculture and Business, we have formed in total 14 new classes of more than 500 registered students.
On September 15th, the seven Chinese teachers from the Confucius Institute conducted simulated classes for the formal lectures. On September 17th, the teaching officially began, hoping the new semester will run smoothly!
